What can I shorten?

Any link to legal content, including file downloads, adult content, software, and anything else that's legal. We don't allow links to malware, phishing or illegal content. Links like that are disabled when we find them.

How do I earn money with xl.gl?

Shorten a link and share it. When someone opens it, they see a short page before being sent on to your destination, and you earn for every paid view. Rates depend on the visitor's country and device.

What counts as a paid view?

A visit from a real person who completes the short steps and reaches your destination. You won't be paid for:

  • the same visitor's views beyond 3 within 24 hours (3 paid views per visitor per day, across the network)
  • your own clicks
  • visitors from sanctioned or legally restricted countries
  • automated traffic, such as bots and scripts
How are rates set?

Each country has its own rate per 1,000 paid views or follows the worldwide rate, for desktop and mobile. See the payout rates page for the current numbers.

When and how do I get paid?

Once your balance reaches your payment method's minimum, request a withdrawal from your dashboard. There is no holding period. USDC (Base) from $1, USDT (Tron) from $5, USDT (Ethereum) from $5, PayPal from $10, Bitcoin from $10. In the near future, additional payment methods, including Volet, bank transfers, and additional cryptocurrencies will be added.

How does the referral programme work?

Share your referral link. You earn 25% of what everyone you invite earns, for as long as they use xl.gl, with no cap. It's paid by us, on top of their earnings. They don't earn less because you referred them.

Can I use xl.gl with my own tools?

Yes. There's a developer API, a quick-link format, a full-page script that turns every link on your site into a paid one, a bulk shortener and a bookmarklet. They also work with most WordPress plugins, bots and scripts built for other link shorteners: point them at xl.gl with your API token. Find everything under Tools in your dashboard.

Why was my link disabled?

We disable a link when its destination is reported as malware or phishing, when it breaks our content rules, or after a valid report such as a copyright notice. We email you the reason. If you think it's a mistake, just reply to that email.

What gets an account suspended?

Faking views: bots, scripts, clicking your own links, paying or rewarding people to click, or buying low-quality traffic. Repeated copyright or abuse reports can lead to suspension too.

Can I choose my own alias or change a link later?

Yes. Add a custom alias of up to 30 characters (letters, numbers, dashes and underscores) when you shorten a link. Later you can change its destination, title and expiry, or hide it from your list. Your short link keeps working.

How do I keep my account safe?

Turn on two-step verification in Settings. With it on, withdrawals and changes to your payout details need a code from your authenticator app. If you've confirmed your email instead, withdrawals need a confirmation link sent to that address.

How can I contact support?

We offer support over email (which can also be sent via our contact form), WhatsApp, and Telegram. Our support is available every day of the week, but may require up to 2 days to get back if there is a longer queue.
